The sources (CLICK HERE-----> http://websvn.kde.org/branches/trinity/ ) are _universal_ and all distributions can use them to create their own packages. Did you think to find the .txz packages purposefully prepared

aLinux (formerly Peanut Linux) also goes with KDE 3.5.x, and I believe it is Trinity. It is by no means solely a Kubuntu thing. I don't know what Vector Linux is using with their KDE Classic version (maybe 3.5.10) but I wouldn't be surprised if they are now using Trinity as well.
