Just to add that although I have had zero ("0") problems with Salix 14.1 so far, I'll upgrade a spare machine when I have some time hoping for the problem-free ride to continue...

Wow, impressive work! A big "Thank you" to gapan and the other team members (djemos, mimosa ... I apologize if I've overlooked anyone), as well as to the volunteers who tested the release candidates.
Last night I installed 14.2 on our Dell Latitude E4300 laptop (old but a workhorse). Everything went smoothly except for a glitch with setting up the wireless chipset (Broadcom BCM 4322, which is problematic in most distros). I will post about that issue separately.
