The Salix Update notifier script puts an icon on the sys tray if it detects updates are available. However, if i decide not to do my updates and wait, after a period of time, it adds another icon as well. Not sure where you got those sizes, gslapt says gnome-icon-theme weighs in at 8778K.

And, I'm not suggesting that we replace the icon theme with faenza. Merely suggesting it to thenktor.

Salix currently uses Clearlooks as the default theme.
