Salix Update Notifier - Multiple Notification Icons
The Salix Update notifier script puts an icon on the sys tray if it detects updates are available. However, if i decide not to do my updates and wait, after a period of time, it adds another icon as well. This way, given enough time, we will end up with quite a few icons :) Perhaps the script should...

Re: python-gpod
What's weird is that the slackbuild doesnt disable python support, so i wonder how they built it without swig then?

Re: Snort gives an error message with libmysqlclient.so.15
Looks like that package needs to be rebuilt.
For now, the below might fix it:

Re: Default Theme
We could tweak it for Salix and have scrollbars from murrine or even pixmap ones.thenktor wrote:Nice one, switched to it for now. IMHO the scrollbars are not optimal in Equinox.
I could do the tweaks if someone suggested some

Re: Won't boot
You need to blacklist the broadcom card for the installer to continue.
The below post contains a good detail of information regarding this:

Re: Default Theme
@zAchAry,
Not sure where you got those sizes, gslapt says gnome-icon-theme weighs in at 8778K.
And, I'm not suggesting that we replace the icon theme with faenza. Merely suggesting it to thenktor.
I was only suggesting Equinox gtk theme.
Cheers,
ray

Re: Default Theme
I know ;) I'm not a Clearlooks fan, too. But to be honest: One thing that open source really lacks are good theme designers. Most themes I've used so far have some flaws here or there. I'll test this Equinox theme though. Heh, i tend to change themes around whenever there's something new :) But, i'...

Re: Default Theme
@thenktor
Yes, i have been using it for quite some time now.
If i wasnt clear enough, i made this thread to propose it as the salix default theme inplace of clearlooks.
Cheers,

Default Theme
Salix currently uses Clearlooks as the default theme. Although clearlooks does look nice, it does feel very dated and not really elegant I'd like to suggest using Equinox as the default theme going forward. http://gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-m1/m121881-1.png Although this might not be everyone's ...

Re: flash in 64-bit
You can download a new 64 bit flashplayer (Flash Player "Square")here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html Which you would've found out was already packaged, if you read a few posts. And here's a package for it: http://pnboy.pinguix.com/gapan/salix/flash/ I only tested yout...
