[Solved] siag
Hello. I tried installing siag on arch linux. Installed nextaw and mowitz, but siag failed to install. Tried on salix using "slapt-src -install" with the same result. Not sure how to fix the problem. Visited the slackbuilds.org page, but not sure what to do. I'm guessing that the build scr...

Re: How to make a Salix OS based distro?
Thanks for the archxdgmenu script! Works just as well here as under arch. (I found a version at a debian website, but couldn't get it to work here.) For my fluxbox system, I added an the following entry to my menu so that I could easily update the menu. I think I will also add this line to the start...

Re: gnome-mplayer
I entered
slapt-src update
Oops.
I now have gnome-mplayer installed (but I did need to become root to install the final package). I also used this method to install a couple of other favorite apps: gnomad2 and abcde. Thanks a lot!

Re: gnome-mplayer
Thanks.
Tried your suggestion but got an error:
Failed to open slackbuilds_data for reading
Unable to find all specified slackbuilds.
I'm guessing I have to edit my repos or learn to use slackbuild. Can you give me some hints, please? Thanks.

gnome-mplayer
Hello. Would someone be interested in packaging gnome-mplayer? It's a gtk front-end to mplayer. It features a single-window layout and has rudimentary menu navigation as well. Re: Update 8/18
Fair enough. I was mostly surprised to see them added. No harm done.

It can also be used to set the wallpaper in lightweight environments such as fluxbox.

[Solved] Update 8/18
Hello. I used gslapt to update/upgrade my 13.1 install (xfce). I was surprised to see at least two qt packages (qt and pyqt) installed. I also saw some new entries in the menu: gnu privacy assisstant, scism startup, ffado mixer. Can I remove the qt packages? Are there other packages that can be remo...

Re: Upgrade from 13.1.0 to 13.1.1
I can confirm. I did an upgrade using gslapt and all new features seemed to install except lilosetup. I installed that using the command line suggested above. I also got an error trying to install libnl-smp. After searching, I found libnl and net-snmp. Net-snmp is installed but not libnl.

P.S. What command do I use to find out about the webcam? I installed lshw, but I didn't see specific info. I'd like to post the specs here.
